Health & Safety

Code of Practice

It is NOT recommended for children under 3 years of age to use Face Paint, in accordance with many manufacturers’ guidelines. A small motif can be offered with discretion to hand/arm.

For safety reasons we cannot paint anyone who appears to be suffering from a cold sore, conjunctivitis, chicken pox, head lice or any other skin complaint, or indeed open wounds.

Faces must be squeaky clean before being painted. For added hygiene we use a clean sponge for each client.

If you are at all anxious about possible reaction to products*,  please ask one of the staff for a patch test.

Face paint should be removed with a damp cloth initially then soap and water (please avoid baby wipes) and any soiling on clothing should be soaked in cold water before laundering.

*Products applied are for professional use and conform to the EU/FDA regulations.
